Dr. David Roberts, a third generation Coloradoan, decided on his career as a veterinarian at age 6. In addition to his passion for animals, he enjoys flyfishing and photography. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, and snow shoeing with his wife Debra of 34 years, and their two dogs Madison and Bullock.
Dr. Roberts' career highlights include:
- 1977 – Received Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Colorado State University
- 1980 – Externship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Robert Taylor
- 1981 – Received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University
- 1981 - 1984 – Associate Veterinarian at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital and Associate Professor at BEL-REA School of Animal Technology
- 1982 - 1983 – Served on Professional Policy Committee for Colorado Veterinary Association
- 1984 – Started Douglas County Animal Hospital in Castle Rock, Colorado as a small animal and equine practice. Douglas County Animal Hospital grew to 11 doctors with a total of 82 employees.
- 2002 – Received channel 7’s Every Day Hero Award for setting up the volunteer surgical program at the Buddy Center in Castle Rock.
- 2004 – D.A.L.E. local expert for Pfizer
- 2009 – Opened Plum Creek Veterinary Services, a mobile Veterinary service

Dr. Katie Christopher has always had a passion for animals and for helping people. Dr. Christopher joined Plum Creek Veterinary Services in the summer of 2010. She enjoys hiking, camping, biking, and skiing with her boyfriend, John, and their two dogs Bailey and Carson. Dr. Christopher also has two cats, Dublin and Shannon.
Dr. Christopher grew up in Aurora, Colorado and spent many hours volunteering and working at veterinary practices in the area. Dr. Christopher attended college at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science with High Distinction in Biochemistry in 2005. She attended Colorado State University for veterinary school and graduated in 2009, and went on to complete a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario from 2009-2010.
